Best Cocktails & Happy Hours Near Our Redemption Square Apartments
On the hunt for a great cocktail near our Redemption Square apartments? There’s a huge variety of great cocktails and happy hours within 25 minutes of our community in Northeast Houston, so today we’re rounding up just a few of them that we recommend checking out! Some of our favorites are just steps away from home, while others are well worth the short drive into Northside.
Located just across the street in Redemption Square, Bocca is an Italian kitchen with delicious craft cocktails. They also have a happy hour from 3 to 6pm and a reverse happy hour from 9 to 11. We highly recommend their Squid Ink cocktail for adventurous folks, which features balsamic vinegar, celery bitters, bourbon, and flamed rosemary. Or if you enjoy a more traditional cocktail, the Italian margarita is an interesting twist on the classic marg featuring amaretto and orgeat.
Also located in Redemption Square, Bibo’s focuses on Vietnamese cuisine like pho, vermicelli, and banh mi, but they also offer delicious cocktail classics including Moscow mules, martinis, and margaritas. Their happy hour runs Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6, but we also recommend visiting for lunch so you can indulge in a caffeinated boba tea in a variety of delicious flavors.
Space Cowboy is about 24 minutes away from our Redemption Square apartments, but it’s well worth the drive! Offering a huge variety of beverages and a happy hour that runs Monday through Friday from 12 to 7pm, this is a great place to discover creative craft cocktails you won’t find anywhere else. Their menu features a focus on tropical flavors and their atmosphere is nightlife-oriented but they also offer delicious food, mocktails, and a vibrant outdoor patio space to balance out your night.
Focusing on Tex-Mex inspired cuisine and cocktails, Monkey’s Tail is also well worth the roughly 25-minute drive into Northside Houston. Their happy hour runs from 4 to 7pm Monday through Friday with reduced prices on certain cocktails, beer, and wine. Monkey’s Tail is a must-visit for fans of tequila and mezcal in particular, though their menu has enough variety to make anyone happy. We recommend their Furiosa cocktail featuring whisky, mezcal, tamarind, peach, lemon, and club soda.
Last but not least, Lei Low is located near both Space Cowboy and Monkey’s Tail in Northside Houston and focuses on tiki-style drinks, especially ones featuring rum. From mai tais and other tropical classics to unique hot cocktails like “Hot Buttered Banana” featuring banana rum, macadamia nut liquor, lime, and “tiki butter,” Lei Low excels in vacation vibes and creative craft cocktails. Plus, if you visit on Wednesday, AKA “Hawaiiana Humpday,” you can enjoy an extended happy hour that lasts all night long.
