Best Pizza Places Near Our Redemption Square Apartments
There are so many amazing pizza places near our Redemption Square apartments! Whether your ideal pizza is a classic red sauce pie with mozzarella and pepperoni or a completely unique pizza with unconventional toppings, there’s something nearby for you. From right across the street to just a few miles away, these top four pizzerias nearby are well worth your visit, especially if you like your pizzas New York-style.
The first pizzeria on our list had to be Lupo, naturally. This Redemption Square restaurant is just across the street from us, but we’d visit all the time even if it was miles away. They focus on locally-sourced ingredients and New York-style pies, which are baked in their wood-fired oven. We highly recommend their Franky pizza featuring BBQ sauce, pulled chicken, pancetta, red onions, mozzarella, and BBQ shoestring potato. You should also be sure to save room for an order of their Italian doughnuts for dessert!
Located just a few minutes north on West Lake Houston Parkway, New York Grand Pizza is well worth a visit. As the name suggests, they focus on New York-style pizza, but they also offer sandwiches, pasta, wings, calzones and more. This is a perfect place to visit with your whole family or a group of friends because of the large portions and wide variety. We recommend grabbing their Grand Deluxe (which is basically their take on the supreme) and their Grand White Pie, which is garlicky and delicious.
A Houston classic, Brooklyn Pizzeria have many locations around town and one of them is right along West Lake Houston Parkway. With tons of New York-style pies to choose from in multiple styles including red sauce, white alfredo sauce, and “green” sauce with olive oil, garlic, and basil, there’s something for everyone here. We’re particular fans of the Greek pie and the BBQ Chicken & Bacon.
MOD Pizza is a major chain, but it made the list for us because of the huge variety they offer, the proximity of their location, and the fun of assembling your own personal pie. At MOD, you choose your size (their classic is 11-inches) and then select from over 30 toppings, including cheeses, veggies, meats, and sauces. One combo we recommend is white sauce with parmesan, gorgonzola, roasted red peppers, and spicy chicken sausage.
