4th of July Events Near Our Apartments in Northeast Houston in 2021
What are you doing for the 4th of July this year? With pandemic restrictions loosening, we know many residents at our apartments in Northeast Houston are excited to get out and enjoy the celebrations so many of us missed out on last year. Luckily, there are lots of July 4th events happening nearby that our residents can enjoy. One of them is being held just across the street at Redemption Square!
Here are just a few of the Independence Day events happening near our West Lake Houston apartments in 2021.
Walk on over to Redemption Square located in Generation Park this July 3rd for Liberty on the Lawn, featuring live music, kids entertainment, and fireworks! Just steps from your apartment, Bri Bagwell, No Rehearsal, and Jenna Lynn will perform live and food and drink will be available for purchase! The event runs from 5 to 9 PM. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket to relax on the lawn right in your backyard at our 255 Assay apartments! And don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook.
Shell Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park
While the traditional day-long festival is on hold again this year, Houstonians can catch live music acts from Lee Brice, Jimmie Allen, Alanis Sophia, and Brian Jack and the Zydeco Gamblers via live broadcast between 7 and 10 PM before the fireworks show. If you’re interested in catching the fireworks show in-person, Eleanor Tinsley Park near Downtown Houston will be open for viewing. Plus, since the fireworks will reach 800 feet, which is twice as high as usual, you’ll be able to see the fireworks for miles around.
Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza in The Woodlands
The Woodlands Township north of Houston is hosting its 24th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival this year, culminating in one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area. Live music will begin at 6 PM and the Fireworks Extravaganza will begin at 9:30 PM in Lake Woodlands, near Northshore Park. Admission is free and children’s activities will also be available during the event.
Another option for your July 4th festivities is the Valley Ranch 4th Fest at The Hill at Valley Ranch in New Caney. This event lasts from 4 to 10 PM and features live music from the Eli Young Band and special guests Wade Bowen and Heather Rayleen. In addition to live music, there will also be 20+ food trucks and vendors, a classic car show, and a Kid Zone on site. The event concludes with a fireworks display. General Admission is $25 while VIP tickets are $50. Kids 12 and younger get in free.
