Things To Do Near Your West Lake Houston Apartment

lake houston apartments

From boating on the lake to exploring local breweries, there’s plenty to do within minutes of our West Lake Houston apartments! Here are just a few of the local activities our residents enjoy, all within the Northeast Houston area. Whether you’re an outdoorsy type or a live music enthusiast, there’s something to explore in the West Lake neighborhood.

Alexander Deussen Park

Located at the southern tip of Lake Houston, Alexander Deussen Park is a great place to take in scenic views, walk the dog, or take your kayak out on the water. Walking paths wind through the park, which also features pavilions, restrooms, and dog parks. Nearby, on the other side of Aqueduct Road, Dwight D. Eisenhower Park also features a trail loop that is perfect for an easy hike on a spring day.

Golfing at The Clubs of Kingwood

We have many golf courses to choose from nearby, including Tour 18 Golf Course, Golf Club of Houston, and Brock Park Golf Course, but The Clubs of Kingwood is a local favorite located—you guessed it—in Kingwood. In addition to its well-maintained course, it also features great food, attentive service, tennis courts, a water park, and a gym.

Shopping at Westlake Marketplace

Closer to home, the Westlake Marketplace is a convenient spot for a shopping trip to major retailers like Ulta, Michaels, and PetSmart. You’ll also find various eateries, a massage therapist, a nail salon, a lash studio, and more.

Date Night at Redemption Square

Even closer to our West Lake Houston apartments—right across the street, in fact—you’ll find eateries and boutiques at Redemption Square. Pretty Little Things offers women’s clothing and accessories just downstairs from your apartment, while across the street, Lupo makes delicious pizzas. Bibo’s Bistro & Bar and Bocca’s Italian Kitchen add to your dining options at Redemption Square, giving you your choice of pizza, Vietnamese, and Italian for the perfect easy-going date night.

Live Music at Lake Houston Brewery

Finally, if you take the bridge across the lake toward Huffman, you’ll find Lake Houston Brewery waiting on the other side. Not only is this a great place to visit for dinner and craft beer, it’s also a great spot to catch live shows from local musicians.
